#1 Argonauts Shutout Tigers

PENSACOLA, Fla. - One day after becoming the new top-ranked team in the nation, West Florida won their fifth straight with a 9-0 shutout over West Alabama. The match was part of the GSC Jamboree. West Florida (10-1, 4-0 GSC) posted their third consecutive shutout, while West Alabama (4-3, 2-3) lost their second straight.

West Florida started the match with a sweep of the doubles competition. The Argonauts continued their dominance in singles with six victories. The closest West Alabama came to winning a match was when Sascha Dresselhaus took 37th seed Nicolas Barrientos (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Akademos) to a third set before losing.

West Florida will conclude GSC Jamboree action on Sunday against North Alabama. The match will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex.
