West Florida Announces Athletics Visioning Team 2009
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida Athletics Visioning Team 2009 will begin meetings on Tuesday, January 6th. The committee appointed by UWF President Dr. Judy Bense will review several areas to confirm the direction of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University.
The committee will review the current status of athletics within the University from an educational and financial perspective, including the following: NCAA divisional alignment, conference affiliation, sports program review, resources, facilities review, and compliance with any NCAA, State of Florida, Title IX, Florida Board of Governors, or Institutional requirements.
Information about the committee’s meetings will be posted online at the Visioning Team home page at GoArgos.com, the official Web site of UWF Athletics. Minutes from each meeting will be posted online, as well as any press releases or official announcements. Selected committee members will be available for media requests through Sports Information Director Matt Rowley at (850) 474-2140.
