Tennis Teams Make Run at National Championships

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL - The men's and women's tennis teams have reached the sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II National Championship Tournament. The No. 1 men's team hopes to repeat as National Champions, while the senior filled No. 3 women's team makes one more rush at a National Championship. They were the semi-finalists last year.

The men's team (25-2) got by Tuskegee and Lincoln Memorial in the first two rounds in Pensacola, and will play Ferris State tomorrow at 10:30 am eastern time. The women (23-5) also defeated Tuskegee and Lincoln Memorial in the first two rounds in Pensacola, and will play Northwood tomorrow at 4:30 pm eastern time.

The tournament is hosted by the Central Florida Sports Commission and the Sunshine State Conference.
