UWF Tennis Matches at New Orleans Postponed Until Feb. 17th

Matches Postponed Due to High Change of Rain on Sunday

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The UWF men’s and women’s tennis matches scheduled for tomorrow at New Orleans have been postponed until Feb. 17th at 11 a.m. due to a high chance of rain in tomorrow’s forecast.

The UWF women, who are ranked No. 8 in the nation, are coming off of a 7-2 victory at Florida Southern on Thursday in their season opener. The UNO match was slated to be the season opener for the No. 7-ranked UWF men. The West Florida men’s team will now open the season at Florida Southern on Feb. 11th at 1 p.m. (ET).

Up next for the women is Auburn Montgomery, which competes in the NAIA. The match will be UWF’s first home match of the season and is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Feb. 9th at the Ralph “Skeeter” Carson Tennis Complex on the West Florida campus.
