Sevillano Shoots 71 in First Round at Agnes McAmis Memorial
Freshman Scores Career-Best Round on Monday

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Freshman Camila Sevillano (Cali, Colombia/La Arboleda) of the West Florida women’s golf team shot a 71, the lowest single round of her college career, at the Agnes McAmis Memorial hosted by No. 24 Tusculum on Monday. Sevillano’s 71 was three strokes better than her previous career-low, a 74 in the second round at the Lady Moc Classic on Feb. 20.
Tusculum leads the team standings at 3-over par (291), followed by Lincoln Memorial at 10-over par (298). The Argonauts finished the first round in a three-way tie for sixth place at 316, matching the scores of Pfeiffer and Wingate.
Sevillano’s 71 was 1-under par and just two strokes behind individual leader Rachel Uremovich of Lander (69). Jillian Corum of Tusculum finished the day in second place at 2-under par (70).
Freshman Aimee Paterson (Sherfield on Loddon, England/Queen Mary's) also shot in the 70s for UWF, finishing the round at 78 and tied for 24th. Senior Jenny Lines (Birmingham, Ala./Spring Hill) was next in line for the Argos, carding 82, and she was followed by junior Agustina Cocha (Salta, Argentina/Colegio Santa Maria) at 85.
