Argos Kick Off GSC Tournament with Rematch against Lions
No. 3 Seeded West Florida Faces No. 6 Seeded North Alabama in the Opening Round on Friday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of West Florida softball team will enter the Gulf South Conference Tournament as the No. 3 seed, facing off against the sixth seeded North Alabama Lions in the first round of competition this Friday at 11 a.m.
All games will be held at the Greenbrook Softball Complex in Southaven, Miss. and take place from April 27-29, with the championship game being played on Sunday in the double-elimination tournament.
The Argonauts, who enter with a 32-22 overall record and a 16-12 mark in the league standings, will play their second game on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and will face either No. 7 Christian Brothers or No. 2 Alabama-Huntsville.
The other round one games will slate No. 5 Delta State against No. 4 West Alabama and No. 1 Valdosta State vs. No. 8 West Georgia.
UWF took three out of four regular season meetings over North Alabama including the last which resulted in a 10-1 win in Florence, Ala. to conclude the regular season.
