Argos Jump to Sixth in NCAA South Regional Rankings
West Florida Leaps West Alabama to Take over Sixth Place

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – With the latest rankings from the NCAA, the University of West Florida softball team finds itself one spot higher than last week at No. 6 in the South Region, it was announced Wednesday.
The Argonauts are now in good shape to make the NCAA South Regional on May 4-6, with the top eight teams making the cut.
UWF jumped West Alabama for the sixth spot in this week’s pool after taking two from the Tigers earlier in the week. No. 1 Valdosta State still sits on top despite taking a Gulf South Conference loss to unranked Delta State. No. 5 Tampa is behind in second, followed by No. 14 Rollins, No. 13 Barry, No. 23 Alabama-Huntsville and then the Argos.
West Alabama, Nova Southeastern, Florida Southern and Palm Beach Atlantic then round out the top 10.
The Argos currently sit at 32-22 on the season and are the third seed in the upcoming GSC Tournament.
