Argos Season Comes to an End as NCAA Pairings Are Announced

West Florida Edged out in Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2012 University of West Florida softball season came to an end Monday morning, as the Argonauts did not hear their name called in the NCAA Tournament selection show.

UWF ends the year at 33-24 overall, 11 games better than the 2011 campaign, and 16-12 in the Gulf South Conference and were the sixth seed in the South Region before last weekend’s GSC Tournament.

No. 1 Valdosta State earned the top seed, followed by No. 5 Tampa, No. 13 Barry, No. 14 Rollins, No. 23 Alabama-Huntsville, Florida Southern, West Alabama and Miles.
