West Florida Remains No. 22 in CBL Rankings

PENSACOLA, Fla. – After a 2-2 week at the Gulf South Conference tournament the West Florida baseball team held on to the No. 22 spot in this week’s College Baseball Lineup rankings. The Argonauts are 34-17 overall and await the NCAA selection show this Sunday May 13 in hopes of a at large bid to the NCAA South Region Tournament.

UWF remains at No. 22 in this week’s CBL rankings after falling in game one then taking the next two games before being eliminated from the GSC tournament. Still holding on to the No. 1 ranking is Tampa while five south region teams rank inside the top 15.

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association ranks UWF No. 7, falling from No. 6, with 22 points in this week poll. Tampa remains ranked No. 1 in the region with 50 points.

UWF awaits the NCAA selection this Sunday May 13 at 9 p.m. in hopes of receiving an at large bid to the NCAA South Regional. For information on all UWF Athletics, visit www.GoArgos.com.
