Parker, Larry Named to NCBWA All-South Region Team

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Bobby Parker (Tallahassee, Fla./Alabama Southern CC (Lawton Chiles HS) and Taye Larry (Panama City, Fla./Wallace State CC-Dothan (Mosley HS) of the West Florida baseball team were named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s All-South Region team. Parker lands himself on the first team as a relief pitcher while Larry was named to the honorable mention team as an outfielder.
Parker has served as the Argos closer all season long and sits tied first in UWF single season saves with 14. He posts a 1.59 ERA with a 3-2 record. In 28.1 innings the Tallahassee, Fla. native has allowed five earned runs, fanned 20 batters and has held opponents to a .196 average. Parker was also an All-Gulf South Conference first team selection and a Daktronics All-South Region first team selection.
Larry leads the West Florida baseball team with and the GSC with 33 stolen bases, which ranks sixth in UWF’s single season stolen bases. The Panama City, Fla. native posts a .314 average with 13 doubles, two triples and two home runs. Larry was also an All-GSC first team selection and was named to the GSC All-Tournament first team.
