Story repeated after shutting out Union in UWF’s 2-0 victory on the road in Jackson, Tenn. in the team’s conference opener on Sept. 14. Story then held reigning conference champion North Alabama to one goal and blocked a penalty kick en route to a 4-1 victory for the Argonauts.
Story recorded 8 saves in the two games and now leads the conference with a .839 save percentage on the season. She is second in the GSC with a 0.83 goals against average and third in total saves with 26.
Bush earned her first Player of the Week award after recording a hat trick against then-ranked No. 21 UNA on the road in Florence, Ala. She scored the game-tying goal for UWF and then the go-ahead goal for the Argos before adding some insurance with her third goal of the game.
Bush leads the Argos with 6 goals, 20 shots, 16 shots on goal, and is tied for the team lead with 2 assists for the season. In the conference she is ranked third in shots, tied for third in goals and tied for sixth in assists. She is tied for second with 2 game-winning goals.
