#4 Argonauts Sweep Past Tigers

FLORENCE, Ala. - After blanking North Alabama earlier in the day, West Florida posted their second shutout of the day with a 9-0 whitewashing of West Alabama on Friday. West Florida improves to 7-3 with the win. West Alabama drops to 4-1.
After winning all three doubles matches, West Florida went into singles action with a 3-0 advantage. Playing without second-ranked Diego Zorzi in singles, #45 Alberto Torchia won in the first position in a second-set tiebreaker. Eduardo Cavasotti, Nicolas Barrientos, Gael Gaetjens, Marco Matteucci, and Mark McGuigan all won their singles matches in straight sets.
THe Argonauts will continue the schedule with two matches on Saturday. West Florida will face Lincoln Memorial and Alabama-Huntsville in Florence, Ala.
