PENSACOLA, Fla. — Shaneka Gordon highlights the Argos All-GSC selections as she was named as the 2008 GSC Player of the Year. She becomes UWF’s fourth Player of the Year and first to do so since Lindsay Nemanich in 2006. Gordon is also the first Argonaut to solely win the award as all others were Co-Players of the Year. Coach Bartlinski was also honored by being named the 2008 GSC Coach of the Year. He has led the Lady Argos to an unbeaten 18-0-1 record, a No. 2 national ranking and has produced five first team All-GSC selections and one second team selection.
The Gulf South Conference's third leading goal scorer, UWF junior Shaneka Gordon earned First Team laurels and was joined by twin sister Shameka Gordon, Marcela Franco, Anastasia Prescott and Sheka Codner.
