UWF MEN'S SOCCER RANKS FOURTH IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL POLL

Argonauts Hold Record of 3-3-1 in Regional Play

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Committee released the first set of regional rankings on Wednesday, and West Florida is ranked fourth in the South Region behind Rollins, Barry and Saint Leo, in that order.  The top four teams in the region will advance to NCAA postseason play, and the championship selections will be announced on November 8.

Rollins holds the top spot in the region, as the Tars boast a record of 5-2 against Division II opponents and 5-1 in regional play.  Barry ranks second with a 3-1-2 regional record and Saint Leo is third at 4-2.  UWF comes in fourth with a record of 3-3-1 in regional play, followed by Lynn (4-2) at No. 5 and Ouachita Baptist (5-2) at No. 6.

UWF will face Gulf South Conference opponent and regional rival Christian Brothers this Saturday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. at Brosnaham Park in Pensacola.  Fans can follow all of the action with live video and live stats at www.GoArgos.com.
