PENSACOLA, Fla. - Not only has West Florida won seven consecutive matches, but they have posted six shutouts over their last seven matches. On Wednesday, West Florida dominated Division I Tennessee-Martin at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. West Florida improves to 12-3 with the victory.
After sweeping the doubles competition, the Argonauts won five of six singles matches in straight sets. Nicolas Barrientos won his third position match after Tennessee-Martin's Daniel McGuire retired after losing the first set, 6-3. Diego Zorzi only lost three games in his first position win, while Mark McGuigan dropped just one game in his fifth position victory.
West Florida faces the University of Mississippi at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex on Friday. Mississippi is the sixth-ranked team in Division I. The match will begin at 2:00 p.m.
