Volleyball: Patricia Gandolfo

Entrusted as the first ever full-time assistant coach during the Melissa Wolter era of volleyball at the University of West Florida, Patricia Gandolfo brings a wealth of knowledge about the sport - as well as the Argonauts' program itself - to the proverbial table.

Gandolfo possesses two years of understudy work in the coaching realm having spent 2010 and 2011 as a student assistant coach for the Argonauts under the tutelage of head coach Melissa Wolter and then-graduate assistant coach Marcela Cunha. During her stint as a student assistant, the native of Brazil assisted the Argonauts in assembling a 55-16 overall record en route to a pair of Gulf South Conference Championships. During that span, the Argonauts secured berths in the NCAA Division II South Regional Tournament and made it to the region finals in 2010.

An extremely talented volleyball player in her own right, Gandolfo donned a UWF jersey for two seasons (2008 and 2009) and captained the Argonauts to a collective 54-21 record which included yet another GSC Championship. A Third Team AVCA All-American during her final collegiate go-round, Gandolfo also added AVCA All-South Region First Team, NCAA South Region All-Tournament Team, All-GSC First Team and GSC Tournament Most Valuable Player laurels to her extensive resume by the time she closed the books on her playing career.

Gandolfo has also been tasked with heading up the Argonauts' volleyball camps as part of her expanded duties.
