In 1984 he was reassigned to the Madison Muskies in the Midwest League, a Single-A affilliate...With the Muskies, Wayne posted a 9-8 record with a 2.79 ERA... Totaled 122.2 innings while starting 18 games of his total 22 appearances... In 1985 Wayne spent most of the season with the Double-A Huntsville Stars before being called up to the Triple-A Tacoma Tigers in the Pacific Coast League... With the Stars he posted a 6-6 record with a 2.89 ERA in 71.2 innnings before being called up to Triple-A...With the Tigers, Wayne only worked 5.2 innnings on the mound allowing six earned runs to post a 9.53 ERA
