West Florida men’s soccer coach Bill Elliot has announced the addition of Peter Fuller as the team’s assistant coach. Fuller comes to UWF after a one-year stint as the New England Revolution’s club team’s reserve coach and a 16-year career at the University of Mobile.

While at Mobile, Fuller amassed a 219-97-17 overall record in 16 seasons and won two NAIA national championships while making five national final four appearances. He is a three-time NAIA Coach of the Year, earning the honors at two different institutions.

Prior to coaching at Mobile, Fuller coached at Houghton College in Houghton, NY for one year and Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. for four years. While at Belhaven, he led his team to a NAIA national championship and a 22-2-1 record in 1992.

His overall record before coaching at New England was 311-115-21.

Fuller originally played soccer for Houghton where he was a two-time NAIA All-American and was later the first draft pick by the New York Eagles in the American Soccer League. He also played professionally for the Rochester Flash, Memphis Americans, Sports Life and Jackson Rockers.

Fuller earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Belhaven and a bachelor’s degree in religion from Bethany Bible College. In addition, he earned a “B” License from Canada’s National Institute of Coaching in 1998.
