UWF Women's Cross Country Races to Seventh Place Finish in Arizona

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The West Florida women's cross country team finished seventh overall in the George Kyte Invitational 5k race at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff, Ariz. The invitational competition included several top Division I schools racing at nearly 7000 ft above sea level. Kelbe Beck (Tallahassee) and Ruth Ashley (Altamonte Springs) led UWF with 31st and 32nd place finishes, respectively. Beck recorded a time of 20:31, and Ashley turned in a 20:36 in her first collegiate race. Ninety runners completed the race won by the University of Arizona. [+]

UWF Women's Cross Country Set to Open Season in Arizona

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The 2010 West Florida women’s cross country team is hoping to build on last year’s second place finish in the Gulf South Conference. Last season, the Argonauts finished behind nationally ranked Harding in the conference meet and placed sixth at the NCAA south regional meet. The Argos return four of the top five runners from one year ago and are ranked fifth in the south region in the USTFCCCA Preseason Division II Cross Country Rankings.  [+]
